Tabata Gymnastics Bench

Tabata Workout:


  • 8 rounds of 20 seconds of work, 10 seconds of rest for each movement
  • 1. Bench press
  • 2. Handstand push-ups

Instructions:
- Perform 20 seconds of max effort bench press, followed by 10 seconds of rest
- Immediately transition to 20 seconds of max effort handstand push-ups, followed by 10 seconds of rest
- Repeat for a total of 8 rounds (16 minutes total)
- Score is total reps completed for both movements combined


Notes:
- Choose a weight for the bench press that allows you to perform at least 5 reps each round
- Scale handstand push-ups to pike push-ups or push-ups if needed
- Focus on maintaining intensity throughout all rounds.
